Session 1: Co-Teaching: Setting up and Structuring Support
o This first session will describe the critical elements of an effective teaching team and how co-teaching can help schools meet the goals of inclusive education. Participants will learn a variety of co-teaching structures and explore dozens of ways educators can work together in shared classrooms.
Session 2: Moving Beyond Structures
o In this interactive session, participants will become familiar with active learning structures (e.g., whip, anchoring), formative assessments, and UDL strategies appropriate fort K-12 inclusive classrooms.
Session 3: Supporting Paraprofessionals in Inclusive Classrooms
o This final session is intended to give teams tools to collaborate with paraprofessionals and classroom assistants. There will a discussion on supervision, roles, planning for others, and how to help a paraprofessional create better supports and deliver effective instruction.
