Session 1: In this session, participants will learn about the rationale for using visual support strategies and the many ways in which information can be presented through the use of visual supports. Participants will learn specific strategies for identifying appropriate forms of visual supports for individual learners. In addition, recommended materials and strategies for making visual supports will be discussed.

Session 2: Visual Scheduling
In this session, participants will learn about the rationale for using visual schedules to support individuals within specific activity routines and across the day. Participants will learn about different ways in which to structure and present visual schedules to improve transitions, increase independence, and improve other skills such as choice making and information sharing.

Session 3: Visual Support Strategies for Academic Participation and Literacy Development
In this session, participants will be introduced to a number of ways in which visual supports can increase access to academic instruction and address specific instructional goals, with an emphasis on early literacy development. Participants will learn about a number of strategies that can be used to increase student participant and learning during literacy activities.
